Anatomy of a Stage File
Every field a stage file can hold, what the editor writes into it, and what happens when one is left out.
Stage Modes
The five ways a stage can open — research at a pedestal, an automatic trigger, an external command, a timed unlock that relocks itself, or a state that holds.
Relocking
Stages that lock themselves again: the While mode for states that come and go, and lock triggers on Default and Auto stages.
Dependencies
Demanding items, levels, kills, stats or other stages before a stage opens, and how AND and OR groups are combined.
Logic Blocks
Rules between stages: a stage that is blocked, hidden, cheaper or taken away depending on which other stages are unlocked.
Interchangeable Stages
Several stages lock the same thing and any one of them should be enough: the interchangeable switch.
Hidden Display
What a player who has not unlocked the stage yet sees in place of the real name, tooltip and lock hint.
Complete Examples
Whole stage files ready to copy, each one naming the folder it belongs in.
